  • Upper Endoscopy

Upper endoscopy or esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) is a diagnostic procedure used to examine the lining of the upper part of the gastrointestinal tract, which includes the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. An EGD helps providers diagnose conditions of the upper GI tract.

The physicians of EPGI perform upper endoscopy or EGD at their outpatient surgery center, Lehigh Valley Health Network – Cedar Crest, Lehigh Health Network – Muhlenberg, and Sacred Heart Hospital.
