Dr. Patrick Hickey attended Virginia Tech for his B.S. in Biochemistry, and subsequently attended Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Virginia Campus (VCOM) for his medical degree.  He completed his Internal Medicine residency training at Lehigh Valley Health Network.  He then served as the Chief Medical Resident for the Internal Medicine residency program.  He went on to complete his Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship at LVHN.

 

Dr. Hickey has been involved in research and quality improvement projects on topics including gastrointestinal hemorrhage, surveillance colonoscopy, fecal microbiota transplantation, and advanced endoscopy.  He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.  Currently, he is board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in gastroenterology.
