Dr. Shah, MD, FACP, FASGE graduated from the Siena college- Albany Medical College Program in the Humanities. While at Siena, he graduated magna cum laude and played division 1 tennis.

During summer vacation in college, Dr. Shah volunteered at Mother Teresa’s Missoinaries of Charity in Calucutta, India.

After completing his residency in Internal Medicine at Albany medical college where he was a junior chief resident, Dr. Shah went on to complete his Gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at UMDNJ in New Jersey where he was also a chief fellow.

Dr. Shah then completed his therapeutic/advanced endoscopy fellowship at Columbia University where he was trained by the late world-renowned Dr. Peter Stevens.

Dr. Shah joined EPGI in 2008 and was the first advanced endoscopist trained to perform endoscopic ultrasound in the Lehigh Valley.

Since joining, Dr. Shah has performed over 3000 advanced cases including EUS, ERCP and additional interventional endoscopy cases.

As the director of GI endoscopy for LVHN and the Associate Chief of Gastroenterology Dr. Shah strives to deliver excellent personalized care for the patients of the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas.
