Dr. Amy Javia, MD was born and raised in Easton, PA. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree and Medical degree through a combined accelerated program at Drexel University and Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadephia, PA.  She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and in medical school, she was selected to join the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She then completed her Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Javia practices General Gastroenterology with an interest in celiac disease and esophageal disorders.  Dr. Javia is currently board certified in Internal Medicine and is board eligible in Gastroenterology.  She is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Dr. Javia is an avid Philadelphia sports fan (especially the Eagles and the Sixers!) and she enjoys spending her free time with family and friends as well as trying new foods.
