Zachary Zator
 

Dr. Zator, MD was born and raised in Allentown, PA. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia where he graduated with high honors as an Echols Scholar. He then went on to obtain his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine where he was selected to join the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and also served as president of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. After medical school, he completed his internal medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, and served an additional year there as a staff physician and Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Zator completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh where he served as Chief Fellow. He completed an additional year of training in advanced endoscopic procedures at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He is double board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

Dr. Zator’s clinical and research interests include pancreaticobiliary disease, esophageal conditions, and complex polypectomy. In addition to colonoscopy and upper endoscopy, he performs a range of advanced endoscopic procedures such as endoscopic ultrasound, ERCP, endoscopic mucosal resection, luminal stent placement, radiofrequency ablation, and endoscopic suturing.

In his free time, Dr. Zator enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons.
